Elijah: The Real McCoy

Inside this bus on December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks, a soft-spoken African-American seamstress, refused to give up her seat to a white man, challenging existing segregation laws.

Texaco Play Garage

Corliss Steam Engine Demonstration

Made in America: Power (1:30 p.m.)

Generating 300 horsepower, this 1859 Corliss steam engine served more than 60 years as the central source of power for some dozen independent workshops in Providence. Learn how ingenuity was used to create an optimized power source. Watch it run!
