The Henry Ford’s signature events had a record-setting year in 2017. Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village drew in more than 67,000 guests and Holiday Nights broke records for the third year in a row with more than 93,000 guests.

The Henry Ford announced the new acquisition of a 1972 Blue Box, designed and built by Steve Wozniak and marketed for sale by Steve Jobs. Created to make free illegal phone calls, Blue Boxes were the first joint business venture between the two innovators, three years before the founding of Apple Computer Inc. in 1976.

The Henry Ford will open its newest permanent exhibition, Mathematica: A World of Numbers…And Beyond inside Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation. Conceptualized, designed and realized by Charles and Ray Eames in 1961, the exhibition conveys the world of numbers and mathematics through interactivity to make the subject more digestible for everyone. Mathematica uses kinetic installations, models, timelines, quotations, imagery, and physical interaction to explain mathematical phenomena, ideas and applications.

The Henry Ford’s attractions and signature events had a record-setting year in 2016 with more than 1.78 million guests visiting the institution’s campus, a five-percent increase from 2015. This is the highest attendance for the institution since 2012.
